"Its iowa, the can't have good sushi or seafood" you tell yourself. And then weeks go by where you could have some immaculate eel. Eventually, you work up the intestinal courage to buy sea food at the "ninja statehouse" in a small (definitely large for iowa) town in the Midwest. And you suddenly realize, you've wasted hundreds on culvers, DQ and pancheros that you could have spent on the best eel you've ever had. Don't be like me. Don't second guess the only sushi place in town. Its probably the only because no one could compete with its flavor, service, and atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Lunchtime @1pm wkday Walking in, was greeted and taken to a booth in a side room right away. Server was polite and friendly, answering questions about the menu. Old Christmas deco is dotted here and there (end of May) and the room has a mix of American, Japanese, and Chinese decor I can see from where I'm sitting. The blinds and windowsills do not have any dust, looks to be cleaned regularly. A single bathroom at the end of the sideroom denotes male/female toilet. Very clean, if old minimal bathroom. When food arrived, I was absolutely astounded! I don't usually get fancy stuff, I turned beet red from how pretty it was. Coming from socal and being particular about fish, I was very happy with the quality of the dishes. We ordered all sushi rolls, and they were all amazing. At different price points, for lunch you can get a good amount of food for $10 to $30 depending on your tastes. Thank you for the experience! We will definitely come here again.

I was a but apprehensive when we were walking in & we had to check to see if it was open. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised! Fantastic service, amazing food, & wonderful atmosphere. Put this place on your list!

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I’ve had a variety of rolls here and they have all been impeccable. The appetizers are also stellar. The service and atmosphere appeals to me as someone who is introverted. Me and my girlfriend love coming here and enjoy it every time. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves sushi
